*note update at bottom of article
Nearly everyone who purchases a product or service online does some sort of research and often times a customer will conduct research through review sites. A customer will find the review site through search engines by typing phrases like “product x review” or “best x service”. Because of these specific type of searches, niche review sites can be created, found, and earn money.
Note: This site is using the same method described here. The review portion is the same and the category with automatically adding content is the same.
Keep reading and I will show you how. It’s not that hard.
Finding A Good Review Domain Name
The first step is to find a domain name for a review site. There are two good methods to use: 1)research keyphrases then get a review domain name that matches; 2)use Godaddy’s expiring domain auctions and research domains. The first method is standard when creating any niche site. The second method is the method I will discuss.
Note: Both methods are discussed in the Auto Content Cash system and I actually picked-up the second method from the system.
Get A Review Site Domain Name From Godaddy Auctions
Getting domains from Godaddy Auctions allows you to find a domain that has history, has been indexed, and may have Pagerank. This can save you months in trying to get your site indexed and trusted. Sometimes the site may already have traffic. To find this type of domain, login to your Godaddy account and do an advanced search for “review” (see photo). Set-up the search as you see below.
To avoid getting into a bidding war, add any domains that you are interested in to the watch list, and bid when there is only about five minutes left and after you have conducted research.
Scan and Research The Domains
Look through domains in the auctions and research the domains for three things:
- Check to see if the site has a history;
- Check to see if the site has a possibility of earning money;
- Check to see if enough content can be added.
Most likely not every requirement will be perfect. For example, there may be history but not any links pointing to the site. Sometimes it will be okay to choose a domain like this if everything else is too good looking to pass up.
Here are the steps:
First scan the auctions and find a domain.
Check for history at Google.com.
Check for history at siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com.
Check to see if the site can make money and if there is enough content to use. To do this cut-off the phrases in the google keyword tool at around $1.00 and find phrases that can be used for reviews and find phrases that can be used in informational categories.
Set-Up A WordPress Review Site
After you have researched and chosen a domain that will work well for a review site, it is time to set-up your site. This step should not take long at all. You already have the title, review post titles, and category page titles. The review post will be original posts, either written by you or outsourced (you can find inexpensive article writers at Odesk). The categories will be filled with automation.
What You Will Need
You will need the Auto Content Cash system and the MyReviewPlugin extension. With these two products, you can easily create many of these types of sites.
Auto Content Cash System For Review Sites
The Auto Content Cash sytem will give you a lot more information via videos on how to conduct research and choose a good domain through the auctions. They call in the Piggyback method. You will also get a couple plugins to automate categories (this keeps your site fresh), methods to get links by way of pingbacks (another plugin they call Deep Link Engine), and more. In addition, you will learn the Auto Content Cash system of making money, which in itself is very effective. (See our Review)
My Review Plugin for Review Sites
My Review Plugin is the easiest to use review plugin in WordPress, with an extraordinary amount of features. This plugin makes creating review sites a snap. (See our Review)
Putting It All Together
As you can see, there isn’t much to it. Find the domain, pick a simple theme, write some reviews, and use the plugins. Use the promotional methods shown in the Auto Content Cash system to get traffic. Traffic should begin arriving soon, but otherwise you just sit back and create more sites.
*Update 5/06/2012: Immediately after I wrote this post I purchased ReviewAZON and chose to use that plugin for the BalanceBoardReview.com website (which I used as an example in this post). I found it is better to use the ReviewAZON plugin for tangible product related review sites and use MyReviewPlugin for non-tangible product based sites. Everything else in this post is accurate.
